If your provided an e-mail address with your registration, you will be subscribed to the Elk Grove Piranhas 'Swimmers and Families' mailing list. At the beginning of each season, the old e-mail list is completely erased, and a new list is created. This means you will not receive unwanted e-mails if you leave the team, but you will also need to be sure to provide your current e-mail each season with your registration packet.
This mailing list allows Board members to keep in touch with you regarding important team information and notices. Your e-mail will be used for communication regarding team activities only and will be kept strictly private. Once you have been subscribed, you will receive a 'Welcome' e-mail with important information about the list and access to secure areas of the website. Please keep this e-mail for reference throughout the season.
If you mailed your registration after Registration Night, it will take a while to process your packet. Please do not send an "Add" request unless at least two weeks have passed, and you have not received a "Welcome" message at your registered e-mail address. Also, be sure to add the 'swimmers@elkgrovepiranhas.com' e-mail and/or the 'elkgrovepiranhas.com' domain to your approved senders list, and check your junk mail folder before assuming that you have not been successfully added. Note that if your are using a business address, you may need to contact your IT department to have the abouve e-mail and/or domain unblocked.
If you have been receiving mail from the team, and you suddenly stop receiving mail, it is likely that your provider is blocking our mail as SPAM. Providers have many roadblocks in place to prevent SPAM from reaching their customers. It is possible that your provider will block our mail at some time during the season. There is nothing we can do to resolve this issue from our end. If this happens you will have to contact your provider and ask them to unblock our domain, 'elkgrovepiranhas.com.' Be aware that free accounts, such as those from AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. have a high incidence of problems with this. If you provided one of these e-mails with your registration, and you have an alternate e-mail, you may want to consider changing your contact e-mail address with the team.
Once you have unblocked our domain and/or contacted your IT department or provider as described above, you may click here to have your e-mail reset at the server. Please provide the e-mail address you wish to have reset if you are not sending the request from that address. Please do not contact the webmaster with a request to reset your e-mail until after you have unblocked our domain as it will have no effect.
Also, please remember that even if you are having problems with receiving e-mail notices from the team, all information sent to the e-mail list is available on the website 24/7, usually within 24 hours of the notice being sent. The best way to keep up-to-date with team activities is to check the site often. When information is added or changed on the website, the date under the 'Breaking News!' link on the Home page will be changed. Simply visit the Home page and check this date. If it has changed since the last time you visited, click the link to be taken to the Breaking News page where you will find updates listed by date.
Use the link below to change the e-mail address to which team notices and information are sent or to add e-mails to your subscription once you have resolved any of the above issues that apply. If you send your request from the address you currently have registered with the team, no further verification will be necessary. However, if you send your request from another e-mail address, please include the following so that we may verify your membership:
- Your first and last name
- The name of your swimmer(s)
- Your old e-mail address, if applicable
Also, please be clear as to whether you want to replace your old address or add an additional one. You may also request that your e-mail address be removed from the list using this link.
