I have been involved in competitive swimming for the past 35 years. I have competed at the recreational, U.S.S., high school, and college levels. I have competed on Greenhaven, Arden Hills, Kennedy High School, CSU Chico and CSU Sacramento Swim Teams.

During my high school career, I swam at the section meet all three years, earning positions into the finals each year. I competed at Nationals in individual and relay events all four years of college, earning All America honors.

I have been involved in teaching swim lessons at all levels since the age of fourteen. During my college years I was the assistant coach for Kennedy High School and Head Coach for Del Norte Swim Team. I was an assistant coach for the Laguna Creek Gators for 10 seasons sharing my knowledge and passion for the sport with hundreds of swimmers. The past two seasons I have been an assistant coach for the Franklin High School Swim Team.

I am a first grade teacher at Foulks Ranch Elementary School. I have been teaching for the Elk Grove Unified School district for 20 years. I have 3 children and a husband who will be joining me on the Piranha Swim Team. My husband, a competitive swimmer and coach, will be participating as a meet referee. We have an 11-year-old son, Christopher, who has been competing since the age of 4. Our 14-year-old daughter, Nicole, has also been a competitive swimmer since the age of 4. Our oldest daughter, Melissa, started swimming competitively when she was 6 years old. She has just completed her first year of college and will be competing for the Piranhas for her last season in the recreational league.

We are all looking forward to the season and to meeting many new people as we start our first year with the Piranhas.
