The College Greens Invitational Meet is open to recreational swimmers who are 18 and under and live in the Sacramento area. It is a good opportunity to get your feet wet prior to the regular season and get a good look at some of the competition. However, it is NOT part of the regular Piranhas' swim season and requires separate, individual registration on the part of any swimmer wishing to participate.
For those of you who have not attented an invitational meet before, here are some pointers. There are no designated team areas, so you will need to make arrangements ahead of time to sit together and arrive early to get a good spot. A benefit to this is that families and friends can sit together regardless of age group. Also, there are no team parents and no Ready Bench. Swimmers are responsible for knowing their events, finding their heats and lanes, and being at the blocks in time for their race. This information will be posted in a designated area at the meet similar to Championships.
