Swimmers of the Week
are chosen by the coaching staff each week. This honor can be awarded for many different accomplishments and achievements: good attendance, hard work, respect toward the coaching
staff and other swimmers, good sportsmanship,
supporting teammates, cheering, etc. Anyone can earn an award. The
winners are posted poolside during the week in which the award was earned and posted on the Swimmer Spotlight page throughout the season.

Athletes are great people who apply their life skills in many ways. Each year the Elk Grove Piranhas recognize our student-athlete scholars with our Academic All American Swimmer program.
PURPOSE
- Encourage swimmers to learn how to balance responsibilities at home, school, and extra-curricular activities.
- Emphasize the importance of good grades, citizenship, and community participation with the Elk Grove Piranhas Swim Team.
Please check back next season for 2011 information and applications.

This award was created to honor a swimmer that has the resolve to do great things with his or her swimming and to never give up. The swimmer may or may not be the best swimmer, but he or she is always trying harder at each meet and at each practice to be better, stronger, faster, and successful in accomplishing his or her goals. |
|
This award was created for the "most inspirational swimmer" and is generally given to a teenage swimmer. This swimmer is not necessarily the fastest swimmer, but is always willing to help others do their best. |
|
This award was created to honor a younger swimmer (10 years or younger) that always exhibits a superb attitude and is an inspiration to all other swimmers. This swimmer may no be the fastest but always gives it their best and has an excellent attitude. |
|
| Awarded to the high point swimmer of the season. |
